What is Avéli?

This FDA-approved device targets and dismantles the fibrous connective tissue responsible for causing the skin dimples that lead to the appearance of cellulite. These are often referred to as the septa bands. In addition, Aveli boosts collagen output to enhance the skin’s overall resilience. Because Aveli works by targeting the underlying causes of cellulite, it is a long-lasting treatment that effectively smoothes out the skin’s surface and rejuvenates its appearance.

Benefits of Avéli

Minimally Invasive

Avéli offers a non-surgical solution to reduce the appearance of cellulite, making it less invasive than some other procedures.

Quick Procedure

Typically, an Avéli treatment lasts about one hour, allowing patients to easily fit the session into their schedules.

Reduced Cellulite Appearance

The primary benefit of Aveli is a significant reduction in the visible dimpling and unevenness caused by cellulite.

Enhanced Skin Texture

By breaking apart fibrous bands causing skin dimples, Avéli smoothens the skin surface for a more uniform feel.

Stimulates Collagen Production

Collagen is crucial for skin’s elasticity and firmness. Avéli stimulates collagen, making the skin appear firmer and more youthful.

Little to No Downtime

Patients can usually resume their regular activities the same day as their treatment, making it convenient for those with busy schedules. However, it is recommended patients avoid exercise for about 2 weeks.

Long-Lasting Results

While every patient is different, most experience long-lasting results.

Low Side Effects

Compared to other treatments, Avéli has minimal side effects. While there might be minor bruising or swelling, these symptoms are typically short-lived.

The Avéli Procedure

The Avéli treatment is a straightforward procedure that generally takes around one hour. Before initiating the procedure, a local anesthetic will be injected to the targeted area. The Avéli instrument is introduced through two to four 2 mm incisions and meticulously maneuvered under the skin to identify and cut the septa causing the cellulite indentations. Throughout the procedure, most patients report feeling a gentle warming sensation with minimal discomfort.

Avéli Recovery & Results

Given that Avéli entails severing underlying skin tissue, post-treatment bruising and swelling are anticipated. Mild pain and discomfort might be felt for a couple of days as the local anesthesia diminishes. However, patients can return to most of their normal activities after the procedure. Strenuous activities including workouts should be avoided for at least two weeks. Any bruising or sensitivity could persist for roughly four weeks, after which time you’ll see the final results.

FAQs About Avéli

Who is a candidate for Avéli?

A candidate for Avéli is typically someone who is looking to reduce the appearance of cellulite in specific areas of their body. Ideal candidates have moderate cellulite dimpling that hasn’t responded well to diet, exercise, or other treatments. They should be in good health, have realistic expectations about the procedure’s results, and understand the process and post-treatment care. It’s essential for candidates to consult with one of the medical professionals at Deep Blue Med Spa to evaluate their specific condition and ensure they’re a good fit for the Avéli treatment. Factors such as skin elasticity, age, and overall health may influence candidacy.

How many Avéli treatments will I need?

Most patients will notice visible improvement and achieve optimal results after just one session.

Does Avéli have any side effects?

Some patients may experience mild bruising or swelling, but these are temporary and typically subside on their own. Trusetd Source Checkbox Trusted Source Cellulite: Current Understanding and Treatment Aesthetic Surgery Journal Go to Source 2 Trusetd Source Checkbox

What is the cause of cellulite?

Cellulite is primarily caused by fat deposits pushing against the connective tissue beneath the skin. The appearance is accentuated by fibrous connective bands tethering the skin to underlying muscles. Trusetd Source Checkbox Trusted Source Insights Into the Pathophysiology of Cellulite: A Review Dermatologic Surgery Go to Source 3 Trusetd Source Checkbox Factors like hormonal changes, genetics, aging (which reduces collagen production), poor diet, sedentary lifestyles, and even tight clothing can exacerbate its development. Although more common in women due to differences in fat, muscle, and connective tissue distribution, men can also experience it. While not harmful, many regard cellulite as a cosmetic concern.

Can I combine any other treatments with Avéli?

Certainly! Combining Avéli with other treatments can address multiple concerns, including skin laxity in the treatment area. By integrating Avéli with another in-office procedure targeting loose skin, you can both treat the root cause of cellulite and improve the surface of the skin so it’s firmer and tighter. When devising your treatment plan, we’ll evaluate how best to reduce the appearance of cellulite dimples while enhancing overall skin quality.
